The ride of life, the ups and downs of the hills and valleys can sometimes be a bit challenging to deal with and can become a roller coaster of sorts. The growth of technology has made us so efficient as tools we have lost some of our human ways. We work ourselves at times into valleys and look up at the hill with dismay as to how we will get to the top. This up and down can be a drag or it can be a learning experience as many things in life have that balanced reaction depending on how we approach it. We can liken this adventure of life to a bike ride, a balancing act, at first it may be difficult to even make the first step on the peddle but once we get going we tend to build up so much forward momentum. This is where the joy sets in, the rush of the wind blowing by as we move faster or take daring corners that push us to the level of childlike joy, the work becomes fun and we grow through this so much. We ride further and further pushing our bodies to their limits, sometimes we face hills that we don't think we could climb, I say to this peddle on, change your gear and push through it. You may surprise yourself or at least have an idea of where you are at physically and what you can accomplish. Riding is something that makes you focus on what is right in front of you, it doesn't allow for long distractions, you are in a state of bliss, caught up in the very act of peddling and it becomes a meditation of sorts. Many times in life we focus on the entire journey, where we are going, mapping out the road so far ahead of ourselves we fall into a trap of living in this navigation system that is averse to change. When you ride you can stop when you like, turn when you like and go where you like, this can be the most freeing thing when you realize this too is how your life is. In relation to my personal life ride, I have to deal with man made technology so much in my field of work, sometimes it becomes so frustrating trying to use the natural technology of my body to operate sometimes 1- 6 devices at the same time. It is at times like these I take a ride through the natural technology of the beach, a place to clear the head, the mangrove, a place to get lost in the trees and find myself returning to my natural state of being. This is one of the many forms of meditating and balancing ones work with what one needs to work. Feel free to share your ways of balancing your ride and maintaining stability through life to help other riders along their way.
